Introduction

Herbal Sciences International Ltd has helped many companies globally in developing new products including sourcing rare botanicals, analysis and development of new methods for fingerprinting, novel extractions, biological studies, clinical trials, patent applications, regulatory approval, business to business PR, and media exposure on specific products.

Here are a some “real life” examples that are in the public domain or are non confidential:

Biological Studies

* We conducted successful in vitro (non animal) anti inflammatory studies on Boswellia (Indian frankincense) on behalf of Quest International for supporting its use as a topical cosmetic skin agent in 2001.

* We undertook in vitro anti oxidant studies on Kigelia Africana on behalf of Phytotrade Africa in 2005 and showed potent activity plus the discovery of some new active compounds.

* Under took in vitro studies on natural products that are active against ectoparasites in 2000. This led to a successful patent application that has now been granted in the EU.

*Conducted studies on a fruit extract product in 2005 that has resulted in co invention rights to Herbal Sciences and co inventors on a patent application.

Media & Business to Business PR

* Achieved PR releases in the EU for new strategic partnerships for an American company with a readership of over 26,000 individuals and subsequent numerous partnership offers.

*Achieved national and international coverage in the media for various products such as Bional’s Prostanol; Health of the Nations "African potato" and our own work on the use of Sage (Salvia officinalis) in the treatment of declining memory functioning. For a complete list of media exposure (over 60 newspaper articles, radio interviews and TV appearances in 200/2001 alone)

see:

http://www.phytochemistry.freeserve.co.uk/frames/media.htm.

The resulting media exposure led to huge sales increases of the respective companies products.

* Conducted many industry seminars, conference papers and company presentations on behalf of our clients. These include presentations in the USA (SSW and SSE); Vitafoods, Geneva; Natural Products Show (UK & Holland) and many others. These presentations resulted in many new sales leads to the companies in question and increased credibility by endoresment of their products by a leading international consultancy company.

There are many more projects that we have successfully undertaken on behalf of our clients but remain confidential under non disclosure agreements. If you are impressed with our achievements and want help in the above areas, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
